      FOE LOSES ANOTHER "TRUE EAGLE"
Thursday, April 19th 2008
Haywood O'Kelley, Charter Member, Past Conductor, Auditor, and major contributor to the 4452 building fund passed away on Thursday, 4-19-08.
Should we secure an Aerie home that we either purchase, or build, our building will be named the "Haywood O'Kelley" building, in honor of his generous contributions, of both time and monetary to the benefit of our Aerie.

He will be greatly missed!
Jr. Eagles in the News
Atlanta 714 - Three Jr. Eagle members of Atlanta 714 recently competed in the National God, Flag & Country program sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Eagles.  The contest, an oratoracle which is 3 minutes or less, is open to students from the ages of 10-15.  They are separated into three categories: (10-11) (12-13) and (14-15).
Each of them did an outstanding job, and two of the three will move on to the Nationals, held in Louisville, KY at the Grand International Convention, Aug. 11-15.  The participants were: Sammy Bougher, 10 (winner of the 10-11 year old category), Aaron Marks, (14-15 year old category) and Holly Pirkle (winner of the 14-15 year old category).  Holly is the daughter of Traycee and Step-Daughter of Steve Thweatt, of Aerie 4452. If possible, please try to attend the Int'l Grand Convention and support these "future" Aerie & Auxiliary members!

MEMBER APPRECIATION WINNER
Joe Carroll was the winner of the July Monthly Drawing.  Because Joe was present, he received $50.00, which he donated back to the Aerie.  Thanks Joe!
Each day you visit the Aerie, you will be given a slip to fill out.  On the last Friday of the month at 10pm, a slip will be pulled from the raffle barrel.  If you are present at the time of the drawing, you will receive $50.00. If you are not present, you will receive $25.00.  Come on out to the Aerie, hang out with your Aerie Family, enjoy a night of karaoke and food, and try for that extra $25.00!
We'll see you at the Aerie.
MEMBER DONATES BACK
Joe Reed matched the donations received in the Change Jar for the month of July. There was $311.83 collected in the jar throughout the month, and Joe agreed to match whatever was raised.  Thanks Joe!
On the bar in the Aerie, there is a gallon jar of water with a shot glass in the bottom. Take your spare change, and try to get your quarter in the shotglass.  If you succeed, you will get a FREE DRINK.
The monies received in the jar will go toward the building fund.

We'll see you at the Aerie.
